kenma is multiship, but there must be a connection to build off of. i cherish both in & out of character interactions when it comes to shipping, meaning there must be a level of familiarity between characters & muns. i emphasize that my kenma is still a high schooler, though, so nothing beyond hand holding & peck-innocent kisses will appear on this blog. i do not practice exclusives within the haikyuu community, just because i’d like to interact with everyone, but will with other communities. mains, be it in or out of the haikyuu rpc, however, are welcome!

...MAIN VERSE:...
student at nekoma high, joining the volleyball team after a push from his best friend, kuro. his first team experience was filled with constant bullying from the third years, making him want to quit. however, kuro convinced him to stay, which resulted in kenma becoming the official setter of nekoma’s volleyball team.

...OURAN VERSE:...
originally, kenma had no interest joining the host club, but his boyfriend, hikaru, frequently began inviting him to the club after school hours. he helps behind the scenes, preparing weekly themes & running errands. he sometimes takes visible roles during host activities, but very rarely.

...HORIMIYA / NANA VERSE:...
outside of being the shy kid at nekoma high, kenma plays bass in a band called Black Stones (aka BLAST). he’s fairly known in the local music business, but at school, his piercings & tattoos (which are an integral identification factor in the music world) are hidden behind his grown hair, clothes, & glasses. rumors have spread about him being the bass player of BLAST, but everyone doubts it based on his reserved persona.

...SK8 VERSE:...
kenma started skating from a young age, receiving a skateboard from his mother who took notice of his interest in skateboarding video games. he joined S in sixth grade, & was unanimously given the name kitty after winning all proposed beefs. the nickname was given not only based on his physique, but also his skating style: quiet, smooth, & nonchalant, creeping up on victory when least expected. he declines almost all beefs now, as he finds them boring, but still goes to support friends in their beefs.

...BAKENEKO VERSE:...
a bakeneko (translation: monster cat, ghost cat) carries the ability of shapeshifting & summoning fireballs; they can shift into smaller cats, where fire is summoned from the mouth and/or atop the tip of the tail, but can also take the form of human beings, where fire is summoned from the mouth and/or fingertips. when presenting as humans, bakenekos are known to dance in the streets with towels wrapped around their heads. however, in place of a towel, kenma has two golden bells stringed to a band of his hair, acting as a source of music for his dancing (kenma considers walking a form of dance which he’s graceful at in this verse for once!) though, if you watch him carefully, you’ll see that he indulges in a twirl every so often (note: he’s a little more mischievous & playful in this verse)! in addition to bringing fire, bakenekos can also bring heavy curses & can turn fresh corpses into puppets for their own twisted entertainment. however, kenma rarely partakes in such actions—- he considers it a waste of energy, & instead uses his fire ability for lighter purposes, such as acting as candlelight during a nocturnal walk, or rotating multiple, miniature fireballs midair when boredom is present. because of his gentle nature, kenma doesn’t get along well with other bakenekos, who essentially wreak havoc in any house they inhabit; often times, he feels like there’s no place for him in the universe, rejected by both the bakeneko & human world.
